Summer Reading
2008 Summer Reading—When the summer days get hot and long, crack out the hammock and the lemonade and then crack open a book! Click here to view the required and recommended reading selections for the grade your student is entering in the fall of 2008. Student’s are expected to be prepared to be tested and ready to discuss the book(s) on the first day back to school. Happy reading!
Student Fees and Parent eHandbook
For all the latest on fees, academics, school rules, office procedures, and everything else you would want to know about AA, take a moment to review the Parent eHandbook. Remember, before school starts, parents are asked to sign a statement acknowledging that they have read the handbook. So, stretch out on the patio with your laptop and read about all the nuts and bolts at AA - you may learn something new! A frozen umbrella drink is optional…
Parent Portal
Parent Portal – Please write down your username and password so you do not forget them over the summer. You need to keep these in a safe place. The passwords will not be reset until the first week of September.
Please Return All American Academy Library Books!
Calling all AA Library books! – Please check backpacks, under beds, closets, and any other place that AA library books may be hiding. We need them returned ASAP so that we can do our end-of-year clean up and inventory! Remember that students are responsible for the replacement cost of lost or damaged books. The library thanks you for your cooperation.
Uniform Resale
Announcing the American Academy PTO's Used Uniform Sale, “Because Kids Grow”. Buy your "gently used" uniform items and required reading books at bargain prices. New this year, we will be selling required reading books (e.g What your First Grader Needs to Know) that we are hoping you all will donate. Based on parental input, the uniform sale will be held twice this summer -- on June 19th (for those of you that want to hit the Dennis Uniform sale), and during the first week of August (for those of you that want to wait to see how much your children grow). We have done away with credits, so sellers will receive all $$$ from items sold. All donated uniform items and donated books proceeds will go to our school. Drop off your items between this Friday and June 11th. Please look for the flyer with details in your child’s Friday Folder (on Thursday) or go to the PTO web page to download it now. We will also be putting the pricing on the PTO web page, as part of the uniform sale information document.

Please set a reminder to check the site at least once a week - check the front page and the classroom pages for your kids. The teachers and staff have done an amazing job of updating their pages!
